The four original members, Jon Schumaker (guitar/vox/bass), Nathan Noble (drums/percussion), Layne McKay (sax/guitar) and Sean Burress (bass/guitar) grew up playing music together in Polson, MT. The newly added fifth member Kyle Daugherty from Woodinville, WA, brings in the smooth sounds of trombone to the mix.

Off in the Woods mainly plays up and down Western Montana where they support a strong local following. They have been breaking into the regional North West circuit by playing shows in Oregon and Sun Valley Idaho. After four years of gigging hard as Off in the Woods this band is ready and eager for more!

They have played a wide variety of shows; big summer festivals, bars, clubs, live radio shows, benefits and small auditoriums. Their music has even been used on film, the documentary “Ride the Divide” and the independant film “Bella Vista”. Off in the Woods has prepared four one hour long sets, so they are ready for any long time slot that need to be filled.
